It’s more than a hackathon - it’s a movement. After the devastating wildfires of the summer of 2025, Cyprus needs solutions that protect nature, communities, and the country’s future. This year, we bring the tech community together to turn code into action: building tools to predict, prevent, and respond to wildfires.
Whether you’re a first-time coder or a seasoned innovator, HackTech connects you with mentors, changemakers, and partners who believe technology should make an impact.

Develop early detection systems and risk assessment technologies that identify fire threats before ignition occurs. Create solutions for real-time monitoring, predictive modeling, and automated alert systems that give communities crucial advance warning.
Build emergency response tools and evacuation technologies that save lives when fires are active. Design systems for coordinated evacuation management, firefighter support, real-time communication platforms, and protective barrier deployment.
Create restoration and resilience technologies that help communities rebuild stronger after devastation. Develop solutions for ecosystem rehabilitation, infrastructure assessment, community support coordination, and data-driven planning to prevent future disasters.
A Hackathon is one of the most exciting competition formats where programmers and people passionate about software development come together to innovate. Our hackathon lasts 2 days, during which talented participants create applications or solutions to tackle specific challenges.
Developers, QA engineers, Product Designers, Product Managers, DevOps, Analysts, Data Scientists, Content Specialists, Programmers, and even aspiring specialists such as students are welcome.
Please note: participants must be at least 18 years old to join the competition.
You have a strong chance to win if:
All prototypes must be created during the 2-day event. Starting earlier will lead to disqualification.

Yes. All participants must be present at the venue (Warehouse by IT Quarter, Limassol, Cyprus) throughout the official schedule. You are allowed to leave the venue at night (from 9:00 PM on November 15 to 8:00 AM on November 16).
Apart from this night break, any absence of more than 2 hours may lead to disqualification.
If you don’t hear from us by November 10, 2025, unfortunately your application was not selected this year. Still, we’d love to see you join us next year and bring your ideas to life.
This year, we will have three main winners:
In addition, there will be special awards such as People’s Choice and others.
Winners will be chosen regardless of the track they selected - meaning the jury will evaluate all projects across tracks and select the most effective ones overall.
